Describe yourself in three words: "Simple pero rock."

Leaving “forty-five” in just a few hours.
And somehow, one thought that crossed my mind was a question I was asked twenty plus years ago: “Describe yourself in three words.”
My answer back then was—and still is—“simple pero rock.” Spoken in Tagalog, of course.
It still makes me smile whenever I remember it. Maybe because it brings back so many good memories, but also because, in a funny way, I think the words still fit me.
Not in a serious, worldly kind of way. Just a little play on letters—"DKORS", spelled backwards: Simple pero ROcK.
But as I sit here writing this, I can’t help but feel grateful.
Grateful that I made it through the tough moments of the past 365 days with, hopefully, a little more grace. Grateful that I got to experience new things, learn new lessons, and enjoy the little moments in between. Grateful, too, for the people who believed in me, supported me, and encouraged me in the things I dared to pursue.
Most of all, I’m simply thankful to be alive.
Life is a gift from God, and I’m reminded more and more that the time He gives us is something we should use wisely. Every day, I’m still amazed at how this "simple me" somehow ends up doing things I once only imagined.
It’s a beautiful reminder that, with God, so many things are possible—as long as I continue to put my faith in Him, 24/7.
So, what’s next?
Honestly, I don’t know. And maybe that’s okay.
For now, I’m opening my arms and surrendering fully to Him, trusting whatever He has in store for me. My prayer is simple: that He gives me peace, joy, and the perseverance to face whatever comes next.
Have I changed?
Yes, I have.
But perhaps not by becoming someone completely different. More by becoming the person He wants me to be—with bigger dreams, deeper gratitude, and an even bigger faith.
So, goodbye, "forty-five".
Thank you for everything you brought, everything you taught me, and everything you allowed me to become.
And to whatever comes next—I’m ready. Simple pero rock.
